Default Quaife Noise

Just thought I would throw this out since a search yielded little.

New Quaife in H22A tranny.
at speed it runs great.

At low rpm higher torque (up hill, low gear) there is a chatter that we localized to the area near the differential in the tranny.

Quaife says this may be normal. The gears separate at higher RPM but may collide at lower rpm.

Just want to confirm if others noted this as well. I know my experience with other LSDs is that they can be noisy as hell at low speed. But I thought the Quaife was supposed to be silent. Just want to make sure cause as I break in my motor I want to push the car a bit and don't want my tranny spilling its guts all over the road.

thanks

That doesn't sound normal to me. My Quaife is completely silent at low speed. Been running it for 3 years and 50k miles. At its loudest I hear a slight moan (non sexual) when at full lock at parkinglot speeds.
