Default cam gears?

what up everyone. i have a 98 acura integra ls and i got about $250. a friend told me to get some cam gears and pulleys, but the problem is that i don't have a clue to what the hell cam gears and pulleys do in performance wise. can someone please explain to me what they do and if they are worth it. later

Cam Gears are a tuning device that adjusts your power band at a dyno. I wouldn't suggest getting these until you get some other mods and then you can use this at the dyno to tune. Its basically useless on a bone stock car.

Yeah, I agree. Get I/H/C/E before anything else. And remember, anything you make topend with camgears, you lose on the bottom end.

Yea, basic bolt-ons first.

Pulleys will not do much.

,and don't get a crank pulley.

true, but some people use that c for Cat....so it could go either way. i use it for cams but ive seen a bunch of people use it for Cat or hi flow cat.
