ok looks like im gonna have 1k to spend within the next month so feel free to help me spend it!

my setup right now is 98 integra GS with 99 b20z

total engine mods:
b&m commandflow and guage
skunk2 intake mani
3" short ram
everything else stock

suspension:
koni yellows w/gc's 400f 350r
skunk2 rear sway
z-10's
205 azenis
neuspeed strut bars (all except front lower)
skunk2 front camber kit

brakes:
brembo blanks with metal master pads

drivetrain:
act clutch and prolight FW
USDM type r tranny with jdm 4.785 final
kaaz lsd

ive also removed p/s

now as you can tell im hurting in the power department so im set on getting engine mods and staying all motor. i was leaning towards full header/exhaust. anr for 500 shipped, 2.5" carsound cat and 2.5" back piping from kteller8 (accordinglydone.com) all around 1k installed.

i also was lookin into b20 vtec instead so maybe b16a head complete 400 or so, ctr cams like 300, aebs intake mani for 160 and about 140 in gaskets ect (head, intake, tb, water pump, timing belt, and head studs (arp). rod bolts would be nice too....) as you can see this will quickly add up to be more than 1k so i dunno...

any ideas?

i think ill gain the most tq that way while adding a vtec head will just extend my powerband..... so anyway thats what im thinking

How bout some nice cams? Exaust is cheap and can be done any time. While you have the cams out pull the head and do some porting and polishing. Than while you have the head off put some itr or ctr pistons in.

If you do the work yourself you should be able to get ctr pistons and cams for 900.00 and all the gaskets for the job for under 80.00

Than you have 20.00 left to go out that weekend and get sloppy drunk.

what kind of income are you going to have after this $1000 is spent? are you going to be able to save up enough money to get a vtec head later and all that stuff? if you will then just get a nice header and exhaust, ur gonna need all that later if not now. i say keep it simple and do all the bolt ons for now

thats what im thinking... yeah ill have money for vtec later, i figure get a good base first

 

vtec

 

id do the vtec conversion, but i wouldnt spend any money on an intake manifold unless you got bigger cams or f.i....maybe do the conversion and get an exhaust, and maybe a header if you got the $$$ left over.

 

Good header and exhaust should really open your B20 up. I'd personally go for that!

im really thinkin tihgt now the anr header kteller exhaust and squeeze in some cam gears and have my spare set of b20 cams reground by rocket. the cams should be good for about 12hp from what ive seen in person on a stock motor
