***UPDATED - pics of wheels on my car on page 2 ***

Has anyone heard of these rims? I just won a set on ebay for dirt cheap....

they are 14" with 195/60/14 yoko's on them. The guy selling them said the only company that he found selling wheels with that name were MOMO, but wasn't sure. Can anyone here confirm this?

I dont really care, either way...i like how they look...but i'm just curious. take a look at the pics.

(notice the name Idea stamped on...and the polished lip! woo hoo)

Yes, serch the net for "MOMO Idea wheels" and you should find some posts. They are popular with OG VW owners.

Those aren't Momo IDEAs.

Momo IDEAs have a plastic garnish that snap onto the spokes that people used to paint the same color of their car. This was back in the EARLY EARLY 90's.

Yeah, those are the ones I remember. The spokes would always have a color matched ring to match their car. All the Jetta's in my area had those.

 

You got YOLKED... sorry to say... I had IDEAS back in the day... plastic shrouded peices of ****....

 

Those arent MOMO Idea's. Idea's have a double circular 5 spoke pattern. Either u got ripped or the guy doesnt kow what he is talking about. Those arent MOMO wheels.

I'd rock 'em on my winter beater for $100 though... if they had winter tires too.

I dont consider myself getting "yolked" or whatever you said...I got 'em for 200 bucks shipped...I wasn't too concerned if they were MOMO or not...it would've been pimp if they were, but not important.

Hey, better than my 13 VXs...
I looked up how much HXs went for...and they were almost double the amount these were..but anywho...If i dont really like the finish on these, i was thinkin' of powder coating them a bronze shade, possibly; and leaving the machined lip.

The Ideas If I remembere right are have a round five spoke designe, they came in a chrome or silver finish and they had a paintable cap on the spoke. Those are not it. Ill see if I can find a pic for you.

actually if you take the five stars, take the centr cap off and paint them flat black you could pass them off as slip streams.

OMG - a guy in my neighborhood rocks some of those with YELLOW spokes on a red 3rd gen accord!!!
