Separate rsx forum is now justified
I may have missed a lot of discussion on this, but why are some people SO against an RSX forum separate from the integra forum? It just occured to me that if they should be in one forum, then the ITR forum had better be included in the one forum with them!

Yes, i've been saying that for a long time. Ever since RSX posts started appearing in the integra forum.
It IS and integra though, so that is a pt. However, the ITR is MORE of what we know as an integra than the RSX is. So if the RSX does get combined with the teg forum, the ITR one MUST be also because it shares more similarities. If the ITR is different enough to get their own forum, the RSX definetly qualifies. On this board, you will find quite a few members of both opposition and supporting parties.
I believe the RSX is gonna get more popular and sooner or late we needed this section.
I approached Dustin about it before and he was wise by saying if there was a need for it, he would create a forum for it. and viola.
thanks Dustin.
Many ITR owners believe their car is totally different than a "normal integra" among other things they believe...however i shall keep my thoughts to myself, now is not the time nor the place to mention it...

I don't know. I think that there are going to be RSX owners that will not want to associate the car with it's integra roots. It is a little more classy. It is a shame but if we weren't this way there wouldn't be:
Acura
Lexus
Infinity
Pontiac
Lincoln
Etc.......
We as American's love names. I can here it now. "Yes this is the RSX..... And no it is not one of those Integras...."
I don't mean to down Integras but people are strange.
I had to edit this 'cause I noticed in another post the RSX is still called the Integra in Japan.

Yeah you RSX guys really told us. Now you can think about this post while basking in the RSX luxury with the beautiful view of the INTEGRA logo on my REAR bumper.
Nope, I'll be enjoying the two exposed holes and a small screwdriver scratch on the back of your R where your Acura badge used to be; from the relatively spartan interior of my creaky G2!!
I think there should be a separate forum for the RSX. In America it's called an RSX, it's that simple to me. It doesn't say Integra on the back right? So why put them together?

because its just been rebadged. Do we have a whole separte place called Acura-tech for the ITR and NSX? No cause its a Honda. An intgra is an Integra. An RSX is an Integra. End of story.

integra type R = integra, so why does it have a seperate fourm? what is so different from those two? not much therefor no use for a seperate fourm. if you, moderators or whoever, say that the RSX should belong in the integra forum i say so should the type R owners. RSX should have its own forum like how it is now since itstotally redesigned and differs a lot from the 1st to 3rd generation integras.
"an integra is an integra. an RSX is an integra. End of story."
its only the begining.
At first I was miffed that 2G and 3G integras were lumped together...but I now believe they are similar ENOUGH to be together. But I think if the support were high enough, the 1G's would have a strong case for having their own forum.
To have a separate forum, I think the criteria should be:
1. Your model of car should be different enough(yep-gray area here) from any other model.
2. Have the popularity to sustain an active forum. That's why the Insight, CRV, etc. are all lumped into one.

No offence to anyone on the integra section or even the RSX section, but I generally notice higher quality posts, more knowledgeable people and more performance oriented posts on the R forum than the Integra and RSX counterpart. Not to say owners of Rs are better than others, but I'm glad the ITR forum is there.
The RSX-S is indeed a replacement for the G3 Integra GS-R and a good overall car to drive. The ITR is more of a purpose built car IMHO. I'll most likely get flamed for this post, but it's just an objective opinion...

I am probably going to get flammed for this, but I really don't think my ITR is as great as everyone says. Yeah, it's lighter, rare, etc etc....I respect the car for how it looks (just like an INTEGRA!) and how it handles, not the speed aspect. Don't get me wrong, the speed is good and all, but it's just missing something! Perhaps the sound of a BOV? I am thinking about selling it and getting a Supra anyway just to get out of all this "My ITR is the ****" thing. I just hate how some ITR owners think their car is just almighty and nothing is better. There is always a better/faster car! The RSX is an Integra, I'll give it that much. But the fact is, it now has a differnt engine, body and what not which separates it form the G3. So, quit your bitching and enjoy the RSX board!
Hmm, so does that mean that this forum is reserved for North Americans only? I mean, the RSX after all IS an American name and only and American name. I'm not making an opinion one way or the other (though the idea of a JDM RSX is an oxymoron in itself). Now, if we had an RSX Type S forum, that would be different, after all the Type S is the highest class us North Americans can get (kinda like how the ITR was in Integras). So just think about it.
