o.k. here it goes. i am trying to decide what to do. i currently have a y2k itr. it is the second r i have owned. i had a 98. i have also owned a modded 97 civic ex, eclipse gst and gsx. i am getting tired of all the crap that is associated w/ owning a honda(modified car). i.e all the ricers that want to race at stoplights, the people that want to steal your ****, etc. i just bought a house and i am getting married next may. i think i want to sell the r and move on to something like an audi a4 or bmw. however, i dont want to have buyers remorse from selling the r, thats how i ended up w/ the y2k r. i love driving the car, just tired of the stigma that goes with it. what do you guys think about selling it? what would you do? any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

If it's already paid off get a beater or a new car. Don't get rid of the R, imagine when you have kids and you can show them a real Type R in the future!

That is the funniest thing I've heard all day. My 3 year old baby niece asks me, "Uncle, why your car so loud?" "Because it's a race car sweetie." "What's a rice car?"

Garage the R and get like a tsx, or like u said A4. But don't sell the R.

man, i totally know what you mean. i sold my eg hatch 2 years back because of all the ricer bullshit here in so.cal. but now that i'm out of it, i'm missing it dearly. so now i'm looking to sell my car and get myself an R. so what i would do if i were you, just keep the R (if you can afford to) and buy yourself something else, like a bmw or something. that way you'll still have the R to toy around with.
