b16/ef stock clutch cable too short
according to my research the stock clutch cable from my crx si supposedly fits my b16 swap, but its about 2-3 inches short. wtf. anyone else have this problem or know a solution? ill probably end up getting a teg one tommorrow, but maybe you guys know something i dont.
Adjust the threads all the way out, lift the release bearing lever all the way up, slide the stopper thing in...it can be a little tricky but it works. Never seen one not fit before
what exactly do you mean by "finessing"? and also wouldnt lifting the release bearing lever all the way up (which is what id hafta do to get it on) make the cable pointless since its now all the way disengaged?
i ran the stock one for a while, just run the cable from below between the IM bracket and intake manifold, then unhook the cable bracket from the tranny, put the cable on the arm, then rebolt the bracket down...
i just bought a 90-93 cable ($57 total from acura
)... it works a whole lot better and now i can adjust the release point.
im sure you can find a cheap one from a junkyard. i was just too lazy to look around.
