Rattle from timing belt area?
When rpm's are around the 2000-2500 range there is a rattle coming from the timing belt / cam gear area. If kept in between that rpm range the sound will remain constant. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
The timing belt was changed about 10,000 miles ago when the engine was swapped. There is no timing belt / cam gear cover (so they are exposed).
Thanks in advance.

The bolt to the cam gear is tight. Any other suggestions?
Can the tension of the timing belt loosen over time? Thus, creating the rattling sound?

The timing belt does not seem to be coming in contact with anything.
Is it possible that a bolt is coming loose and that the rattling could be from the washer?

Now that you found the problem do yourself a favor and reinstall some Tbelt covers before you get some debris chucked in there and disintegrate the timing belt.
