Anyone have pics of a red del Sol with 99-00 Si rims on it? Im really curious as to what these look like on one, oh yeah a lowered del Sol by the way. I have been thinking of ditching the 17's for the lighter weight Si rims. Do you guys think this would be a stupid move??

Are you getting them cheap from somebody? If not Id just look into getting some Rotas or Kosei's or some other light weight wheel. I did the same thing to my Civic, and I like it much better.. I picked up my Rotas for $450 for a set of 4 (11.5 lbs a piece), Ive seen them cheaper and you can get them in many different colors.. You may want to look into going in that direction instead of SI wheels. Sorry dont have any pics for you.. but I figured Id add my .02

Racing Rice: I have thought about other rims, but im wondering if 15" rims would look to small on my car. Best i've found Si wheels for is $450 + shipping. Do you like the way your car rides and drives better now since you changed? Are the Kosei K1's those thin 6 spoke type rims?

I'd go with what racingrice said. Go with some rota's or maybe even kosei 15"/16" rims.

 

i have a buddy that would sell you some LO-BOYZ coilovers so you can have that nice lowered look

 

about the wheels, i have a 98 EX with Si rims that I bought from a guy who had them on his 91 CRX (http://profiles.yahoo.com/sohc_vtec98). The design of the Si rims make a statement, even though they're only 15", but there ain't too many folks with Si rims on anything other than 5th and 6th gen Civs.
You can try this: Go to http://www.tirerack.com and from the "shop for wheels link" so you can get a jpg of the profile of your car. Then just use photoshop with an image of the si wheels to compare.

As for the avetar--keep it, it's friggin hilarious, that guys show is hilarious. I mean Pokemon has the nerve to cap on YOUR avetar? And that sad CX guy is a classic example of why everybody makes fun of Ohio.

do this please, take that avatar into photoshop and edit it slightly so his mouth is closed then move his arms outward slightly. then package a slightly lower rez animated gif and replace your avatar. what you have now, is every person that reads your posts laughing there asses off.

Honestly.. I love my 15's.. Ive had 2 pairs of 17's.. Ill take 15's over 17's anyday..My car rides so much better... The K1's are the 6 spoked wheels.. I had a set of 15 GSR wheels on my car.. they looked ok.. There were to things I didnt like about them..

1)the shiney polished finish.. It just looked funny on my car..
2)the offset sits in to much in the fender wells and gives it a whimpy look.. If you buy some other wheels with a offset that bring the wheels a little further out it looks 1000 times better.. I think mine have an off set of 38 mm and it looks good.. with no problems rubbing.

Hey, spnhb! Your Del Sol has a very clean look to it. I give it . Those SI wheels look good as hell on it. I tried to tell RedRacer that it would look good, but I guess he didn't beleive me. Just kidding Brad. Anyways, what size and brand tires are you running on them? There was a guy around here that had some SI wheels on his Sol, but he had the original tires on them and they looked a little big.
