Default TODA DC5 engine kit?

Does anyone have any info on the TODA engine kit? It claims 53hp with exhaust, intake, headers on the Type S. I figure it should make about the same for the Type R.

Super Street ran a test article on the Toda kit. I think it was in last months issue. Everything I've heard about this kit from owners has been very positive.

It's called reliability and NA has always been more expensive than turbo or NOS. A turbo will require an upgraded clutch and your engine won't survive very long under boost, especially with the stock 11.0 : 1 compression ratio.

It is true that NA is generally more expensive and tends to be more reliable than turbo/nos..but not always either..it depends on the install and driver...my friend has had a 97 ITR turbocharged by DRAG GEN 3 about 4 years now, runs perfect.

I have some friends with 96-98 JDMITR turbo, and they run great.
The problem is I would have to go and change my internals. I really dont want to open up a brand new engine.
The 2002 JDM ITR that I am getting has 11.5:1 ratio, so it should run good as NA with the Toda kit, exhaust, intake, and a good header. The problem is I don't see any dyno sheets.
I had a 1996 JDMITR and went all motor, never got more than 190whp. very disappointed.
so i wan to go right with this one.

I need help with headers also, anybody have dyno links for the new race spec Comptech header (with step design).

I have pretty much made up my mind to get the CAI intake, but does anyone think the Injen SES Exhaust is a bad idea?

I have freinds that run great boost on the previous JDM ITR. but i am not looking to pull apart my new motor.
The stock 2002 JDM ITR has 11.5:1 ratio which would be pretty harmfull under boost, but should be great for NA.
I just havent seen anybodys dyno sheets for the Toda engine kit. anyone have one?

I am also looking for a dyno on the new race spec comptech header without cat and step up design.

One more question, I pretty much made my mind up on the CAI injen, but anyone have anything to say about the INJEN SES exhaust?

A friend has type S motor with itr parts(complete head and IM, ITR tranny) except the pistons which are stock 11.1CR , toda cams , hondata , comptech header, 5zigen exhaust w/test pipe , forgot the name of air intake that he is running and made 247whp .with lots of tunning .

SPOON1...
Thanks for the info. it was really bugging me.
if you mind, where do you get that sort of info from about the dc5 itr?
you got any suggestions on headers/exhaust?
I like the INJEN SES and comptech race header.

If you're talking about edo, he made 220whp, not 247.
