Greddy A/F gauge: Anyone use this?
no they are not a light show it is a digital meter with analog display and give a pretty accurate reading, i just sold one that was brand new- runs about 340 retail and about 275 online, it comes with its own 4 wire O2, which greddy claims has been claibrated very closely to a five wire WB.
pretty acurate from what ive seen in tuning. i have a friend with one in his car and it follows closely to the WB-- although it lags a bit behind since it takes longer to get the needle to move.

its only accurate during WOT. also to make it as close as possible to a 5 wire WB, u have to sit there and calibrate it side by side with another WB because its not tuned/calibrated right out the box.

when it jumps back and forth, its still accurate.. it shows the cycle and whatever is going on with the car.. i should say relatively accurate
you can't tell how rich your setup is running with narrowband, whether its a lightshow or digital

NARROWband means there is a very small range in the A/F spectrum where the O2 sensor is remotely accurate. As soon as you stray slightly away from 14.7 A/F...you can kiss knowing what A/F you are actually running.
A 13.5 A/F would be the same as 10.0 and even more dangerous a 15.5 would appear the same as 20.0 A/F
Some gauges have better electronics, better components and a more appealing design thus the cost difference. Doesnt make the sensor anymore or less accurate tho.

they are not accurate for **** do not tune by one of these or car go BOOM trust me get a wideband or have someone with a wideband tune your car. then use the Shitty A/F gauge as a reference
It was really just for reference. My plans are to use the AEM wideband with my Hondata s200. So really, my question is can I use the Greddy as a display for the AEM wideband....I won't have my laptop permanently fixed to the passenger seat and I would like to be able to reference my a/f frequently.

$275, for another $75 you can get a wideband.....which is much better.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I will have a wideband.....The AEM...But can I hook up the Greddy gauge to the aem?

Just do the Techedge DIY kit! Serioulsy, just get a wideband...its worth it....especially when you get one with the readout so you can monitor your A/F ratios all the time!
