92 Honda Accord electric motor windows move slower in the summer
Has anyone noticed this problem? I would figure that the windows would operate better in the heat and slower in the cold but we had our first cold front come in over the weekend and low and behold I noticed that my power windows are working quite nicely now. During summer months they tend to really drag about mid way up but now that it's in the upper 50's they are moving up and down without a hitch.
my 99 accord had the same problem... it ended up being the seal around the door (the side towards the rear of the car). The seal was causing too much friction, making it harder on the motor. Apparently the seal was sitting just a little off and almost wanted to bunch up. I figured it was worse in the summer because the seal expanded in the heat. Don't know if yours is the same problem, but maybe it'll help.
to clarify: when I mention the seal, I'm talking about the one that "frames" the window when the window is rolled up.

That makes perfect sense. I wonder if there is anyway to cut down on the friction between the glass and the seal.
use spray silicon to spray the runchannels. Spray a lot, and move the window up and down at the same time. Sometime you may have to adjust the window glass in the regultor, so the glass doesnt rub the runchannel so hard.

Used the silicone spray on my windows and now they work as good as new. Thanks for the heads-up, all.
Now, you think it will work just as good on a dragging power antenna?
