squeezing hp out of a b21 is like squeezing a small iota of intelligence out of GWB. it's a waste of time and money.

B20a5 (I think thats 2.0Si 88-91 3gen) was 135HP
B21a1 (I beleive 90-91 SR for can, not sure states) was 145HP

Both motors are wicked for burning oil because I think they used fiber enforced metal for engine sleeves which wears down .... back on hp.com in the day, one guy had his block placed w/ iron sleeves and it elminated the oil burning problem and held up compression way better. Hope this helps a bit. I dont recall what TQ specs were.

How much would it cost to resleeve with iron sleeves of the same Bore?

140 hp, 135 tq for the B21, but i wouldnt recommend building it unless you resleeve.

only the B21 needs to be resleeved, the B20A5 was fine.
any car will yeild power gains from head work, its a matter of finding parts.

Gude makes a head package for our car, and i only know one person who has installed it, but havent gotten a reply on how it runs. it supposedly gives 60hp to the wheels. which isnt bad.

http://www.preludepower.com - go there and check the 3rd gen forums, you will get a shitload of info there, but dont be afraid to use the search feature.

also, http://www.3rdgenprelude.com all3rd gen preludes, parts and lots of info there as well.

Why exactly did they use fiber reinforced sleeves?

To get the higher displacement, Honda had to bore out the cyliders. The cylinder walls therefore became thinner so they reinforced it with the frm.
