Default Cylinder Boring

For those of you who have bored or just know about this kind of thing-do you think that you need to use a torque plate when boring out a type r block? I am going to be using the JUN 82mm pistons, and I just want to make sure that it is done exactly right. I have heard different things, so I just want to know what you guys think. If I use a torque plate it will cost us almost 500 dollars to get one made. I don't know how the maching shop sleeps at night, but anyway do you guys think it would be worth it, or do I not need one?
