Default Is Power Fc plug and play??

I've had the unit for a while just never got around to installing it.Also i lost the instructions to it.I think i remember there was a procedure to do before starting the car,to base program the ecu.

I tried going to Apexi-usa and downloading but my computer is really slllooooowwww.

Any help will be appreciated, you can even pm if you'd like.

Thanks in advance

i got an FC. i downloaded a manual, but it was for the RX7. i think somewhere there is the honda manual online, but it was sloww so i dont even know if it was still there.

i tried hooking my FC up a couple weeks ago and my car wouldnt start. i figured it was cuz i had no base map. i just called XS engineering like 30 min ago and they said that it HAS to have a base map on it or else there is something wrong. soooooo ima double check when i get home, but i swear me car wouldnt start.

If you car has only the base map, you will probably need to teach your car to idle. Its a pain in the *** but unless its done, the car will not idle and it will keep stalling.

Got it on last night.

I had to let it idle for 10 minutes with nothing on at all.
Then another 10 minutes w/the rear defroster on.
Another 10 minutes w/ac on.But i aint got no A/C. .

No more check engine light, doesn't smell like i'm runnin 100 octane anymore either. With the stock ecu it was runnin REAl rich.If i were to let the car idle for 30 minutes with the stock ecu id probablly be dead from the fumes in the garage.

Thanks guys

Isnt the powerFC a pure racing ecu replacement? Unsuitable for street/daily driver?
