Part #10. Just be warned this is for a 97 (since that's the year of my car that's what I looked up). I know the bearings on the 99 and up are larger, and I'm thinking it's just the housings in the blocks that increased size also and not the crank its self changing size, but just dbl check for the part # from your year

EDIT> 31567 010 1 CRANKSHAFT NO COLOR 1065.65 799.25

That's why you don't run your lude on low oil.. want to really buy a new one? lol

What year is your block? If it's 97, you can use a crank from 93-97 as they have the same specs.

yes just measure the main bearings

92-97 = 50mm
98-01 = 55mm

Here's a 92-97 bearing in a 98+ cap

i dont have the old bearings, i moved and tossed them.......I measured the main's on the block, the half circum =~ 3.25 inches = 82.55 mm the diameter =~2.125 inch = 53.975

so im guessing since the main's diameter is ~ 54 mm, the main bearing diameter would be less since it has some thickness. is there a way to tell what year the block is from the serial number?

Ok, i checked the engine serial number, it comes up as a 1997 motor. so i guess that means I need the smaller crank?

yeah you can use a 4th gen crank. I wouldn't look for an H22A4, it was only one year for that size, pretty hard to find. Look for H22A1

Yep, you're right, its a h22a1 crank needed, but when luis made the post, we didnt realize it.

regardless, it sucks when you find probably 30 b-series cranks to every 1 h22 crank...

This may be a dumb question. Would a h23a crank work and if not why?
