In-dash monitor question???
I was wondering if anyone has an in-dash monitor in their 94 and up integra...more specifically, i wanna know who has it installed where the 2 center vents are located...if this is u, how hard was it for you to install it there, do you think it was worth it, and have you had any problems with air circulation (AC or HEAT)...or any other problems you had...
I have the exact same question. im planning on getting an indash monitor for my integra as well, but the local stereo shops said it wouldn't look right. Any of you guys have pics of your indash tv install in an integra?
hey SLaMmEd GsR, the reason for them saying that it wont look right is because if you put the in-dash monitor where the stock one use to be, then when the monitor pops out, it will hit the little portion that comes out, where the hazzard button and defrost button is...therefore the monitor will be tilted slightly downward not straight up and down or tilting up...this was the way i had it originally installed...but then i switched the placement of my in-dash monitor and my cd player and now i can tilt the monitor up when im watching it, BUT when it is open, it covers my cd player, which really sux, that is why i wanted to put the monitor where the center vents are...i got some pix, but i cant post them right now...but if u PM me with ur e-mail address, i can take a pic with my phone and send it to you...
i cant find my pic of my old cva1005 in my car w/ my teg dash.. i had a dash kit that you can buy from circuit city and installed it upside down so the pocket was above the screen and when it opened up it only blocked the control **** for heat and vents.. it wasnt that bad at all.. plus most the time i had it down cause i didnt use it as much as i did in my old car and setup..
