Default Question About Spark plugs and Oil.

I have a question. my engine runs fine no smoke or anything.... i have a Civic DX 95, 2dr coupe. well i check my spark plugs today and there was oil all over them... is this normal? at first my friends and i were like ****.... but we check 2 and 3 and they were the same so we figured its normal? is it? i mean they said normally a spark plug is dirty and dry not dirty and oily? please let me know and that you. my engine is a stock D15xx i dont know the last 2 model #'s

It's not normal. You probably have to replace your spark plug seals under the valve cover.

Change those and see if it fixs it.

Thats really the only possible way oil could be getting in the plug cylinders..get new seals.

what brand spark plug is a good one? for installing after i replace my seals?

in about 2-3 months tops im want to do a b18c swap since i found out if its USDM or whatever it will smog ( im in cali)

is a b18c a good motor.... or should i go b16a what do you guys think? 95 civic dx is what i have now. stock

The seals are above the spark plugs, changing the seals doesnt require changing the plugs. If you still feel its necessary, then pick up some NGK plugs.
Both the b16a and b18c are strong motors and good platforms to go from. If you have the funds, go with the b18c..there's quite a price difference between the two.
