Turbo Standard Maintenance?
Hey,
My turbo is going in next week and I was wonder, after I get it in there, what should I do/check for standard maintenance. E.g: oil level, ect.
what turbo specific things should I check to make sure everything is good to go.
thanks

i'll speak from my experience.. my wastegate bolts broke 2 times and came loose a few times.. but good lock washers and/or red loctite should do the trick.. just wait 24 or 48 hours for it to dry. if you manage to snap a bolt, use grade 10.
intercooler piping, clamps - keep an eye on all clamps so piping won't come apart
keep an eye on all modified lines or additional lines, coolant, oil - for leaks and just to make sure nothing is loose.
keep an eye on oil/coolant level, in my case when i was a little low on coolant, factory gauge would be slighlty towards the middle, like 1-2mm, may look normal but noticable.
if your return line is rubber, replace it with braided steel line..
check for smoke out exhaust, valve cover like oil cap or breather valve..
i don't use turbo timer, but i still drive in vacuum after boosting and let it idle for 15-45seconds before turnign the car off.
