Default buddy club rebuild/revalve

does anyone here have experience with rebuilding and revalving buddy club racing spec damper? on paper they seem to be the best choice but issue of servicing them could outweigh any tech specs.

is there a place in north america that services them? or will there be in the near future (within the next year)?

Also interested in this info.

So it IS true then that high end Zeal/Tein need to be sent to JDM land for rebuilds??

Chris - who wants an easy solution for rebuilding, not an overseas solution.

All Zeal coilovers can be serviced at Endless USA.

See http://www.endlessusa.com for more info.

Interesting. Just noticed that in the Suspension Overhaul section, they mention that they can also service Super Functions.

"We now have capabilities of performing overhauls for special race-only suspension items such as the Super Function."

Is this something recent?

guess it depends if the b6/s6 is considerd "Race Only"

Q: What happens if something goes wrong with my system?
A: Endless USA is qualified to overhaul most systems. Specific Race-ONLY systems must be sent to Japan for repairs.

I can tell you that I have shipped my Function B6 coilovers to Endless USA for new springs once and an overhaul the second time.

Actually, that's only half-true. The Superfunctions cannot be serviced in the US. They have to be shipped back to Japan. At least that's what Endless told me earlier this year - right before I decided to sell mine.

ok this is starting to sound good. b6's = yes, superfunction's = no. anyone want to take a guess at the s6's?

it may not even matter if someone can answer this question. if you have a zeal shock that must be sent to japan for service do you send it to endless USA and they send it to japan or do you send it right to japan?

i'm also extremely interested in this question. ease of rebuild/revalve is going to be one of the deciding factors in the suspension that i choose.

I remember in couple other threads you were concerned with the rebuilding problem too. Hope somone would answer if Buddy Club could be rebuilt here (Zeal hijacked this thread).

Lance, this is a quote from the endless usa site.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ENDLESS USA now offers ZEAL Coil Over OVERHAULS for all ZEAL Lines including SUPER FUNCTION</TD></TR></TABLE>

It's listed under "news and developments".

Sorry for the incorrect information.

Now the big question ...

What's the turnaround time and approximate cost?

That statement leans me very heavily towards Zeal.

Just wondering why this is such an issue? Oviously it will cost more and take more time to be sent to JDM Land. How many times do you plan on sending them back? As of no I am planning on picking up some BC's in spring, they seem like a great suspension.

If I had Zeal coilovers, I would still send them back to Japan for rebuild.

Cost and timeliness are relative issues. Overnight air versus boat.

cost and timeliness are not an isue for me. dunno if i should or not but, since i have no experience with shipping out of the country, i feel more comfortable shipping to somewhere in the US.

if this is not something i should worry about then please tell me.

thanx

I'm so curious as to why you would think this?

Do they use better service parts in Japan? Do they have better technicians in Japan? No and No.

Endless USA uses all replacement parts from Endless Japan and their technician was trained to service shocks at Endless Japan. The only reason to ship them back to Japan is due to ignorance.

Yes the higher end Tein's (RA's) need to be sent back to the motherland as well. Mike got quoted $800 + shipping for revalve + springs
