thats odd..when I switched from a apexi catback to a 3" with a N1, I could tell the difference in midrange. Also could tell the difference in boost. First run hondata shut off the boost at 20psi from 15. had to make adjustments and turn the boost controller down cause it freed up a lot of backpressure.

Are you saying it feels slower off boost? If so, that's to be expected, but it should help your turbo spool quicker, so the car should feel quicker overall.

no, feels slower inboost. B4 when i floored the gas at like 4k, it would make my head snap back. Now it doesnt really do ****.

edit: if it matters, its a race 3" that turns down by the rear tires.

Same thing happened to me when I had a greddy kit. I figured it to the 15g turbo. With a bigger exhaust it would spool a little quicker but would completely fall off above like 5500. Smaller piping would pull it until 7000

changing the exhaust size changes your Volumetric Efficiency...

Retune

That may help a bit although I wouldnt expect to be a huge difference...but you may be overly lean so get a wideband on that and see if that is your problem

when you run an exahust that big your tourque goes down....thats why you dont feel it as much. You probably have a little more hp though

hmmmm how much boost are u running? what size turbo? if its fairly low boost and a small turbo then that might be the cause of ur loss of low end torqu, because the 3inch is too big for ur setup (if thats even the case..).... but over all u should notice it pulling harder in ur upper mid-range rpm and uptop despite the size of ur turbo and what not......

hmm thats all i can think of.

No, you're right...I don't. I'm too busy worrying about my setup to be following other's careers on H-T. I just try and help when I can.

Rakka, hope you get this worked out

Rakka is Uberdata..

Mine got considerably faster with the 3" it feels better from idle to redline especially in boost. I would guess your tune is just off.. Mine was way rich to begin with.. Maybe your a little lean now.
