Default JDM Rear Seat?

I have heard that the JDM ITR rear seat does not have that annoying plastic piece in the center of it? Truth or myth? I have the JDM brochure for the ITR but I am not able to see it in any of the pictures in it. If someone had a picture of it, could you please post it so I could get a look of it? I am going to having an addition to my family next month, and to me, it sounds like it would be easier/better to stick a baby seat in the back with the JDM seat. If anyone knows where to aqquire this, please let me know. Also, I have searched for the JDM BABY SEATS??? but it was a really old thread. Any info on those would help me out alot too. THANKS!

Yes, I had this JDM rear seat last year and found out it would not fit unless you remove the rear bracket/brace under the seat. According to King Motorsports, that piece provides some structural rigidity so IMO it would be idiotic to remove it. I ended up selling it to another R owner who was going to build a Civic Hybrid (the rear seat will fit in Civics and 90-93 Integras, I believe.

And, although you still could not fit a third person back there, it looks A LOT better than having a useless plastic tray (if it had some utility it wouldnt be that bad).
