ITR valvtrain??????
i have ITR valvetrain on my poor man's type r w/ CTR intake cam, my question is if i want to go bigger cams in the near future, should i upgrade my valvetrain?? if so what should i get?? skunk, jun?? i'll probably get some sk stage 1's. thanks in advance
That will depend on what you swap to, assuming you do swap cams later. Alot of guys have sucess with Skunk2 cams and they're not as pricey as Jun. The specs on the Skunk2 stg1 wouldn't offer enough of an improvement over CTR cams to make me want to change. Plus you could very well regret that purchase and kick yourself for not geting stg2 or 3 cams.
Figure out what you want from the car and how much cash/hassle you're willing to put up with to get there then get the cams you want with the valvetrain recommended by the manufacturer of the cam. The loss of dynamic compression should also be a consideration with Skunk2 or Jun cams.
