Default DC2 ITR and Eibach springs

Just bought DC2 ITR and would like to fit Eibach PRO KIT or SPORTLINE springs.
Had previously VTiR Teg (GSR in US) fitted with Eibach PRO KIT springs.
The car has "dropped" by 30mm (1.25") and handling was great.
What should I expect if I do the same to ITR ?
Anyone with experience? Thank's

Hello,

i´ve got the ITR with Eibach springs!
The car goes down for ca. 30mm and it is a little bit harder then the original springs.
I´am satisfied with the spring, for me is it ok!

But if you run races is it better to by a complete Kit...

I ordered sportlines for my car, and sent them back, far to soft to be an improvement over stock and will blow your shocks. Try H&R sports, I have a few friends who run them in their ITR's they're happy, but they drag race. No experience on the eibach's track performance.

Hi there,

Thanks for the info.
Which Eibach springs have u got? PRO-KIT or SPORTLINE?
What do u mean by "a complete kit"?
I do only sprints. 3 laps against the stopwatch.
Maybe 5-6 times a year.

"SPORTLINES" far too soft? This worries me a lot!
I had PRO-KIT springs on my GSR and they felt plenty stiff.
"SPORTLINES" suppose to be stiffer than PRO-KIT springs.
Thanks for the info anyway.

I believe that the OEM set up's the best compromise for the road & the track.
However, for the "looks" sake, the car needs to be lowered.
SPORTLINES, according to Eibach, should lower the car by 1.7" (43mm).
Did you try stock springs at the same race track?
I'm glad, that you did not find them too harsh as a daily driver.
Thanks for the info!

From what I've heard, many aftermarket setups make you're car not handle as well as stock. I suggest you do some research before buying sportlines of the prokit for a ITR.

You should probably be looking more towards spoon springs, Ground Controls w/ 500F400R, or mugen lowdowns.

Still waiting for an answer. PRO KIT or SPORTLINE springs on your ITR?

I've had the H&R springs on my ITR with the stock shocks and it worked nicely, especially at higher speeds (hehe) on the highway since it kept the car from bouncing as much, esp in the rear.

No personal experience with the Eibach springs except on my CRX.
