What kinda engine oil does your NA race motor use?
Please choose the brand and state what kinda grade.
State why you choose it if you can. Thanks.
Is there a reason why you choose different grade?
5w30? 10w30? 5w20? 5w30? 10w40?...etc.
PS- I am not talking about your stock motor. I'm referring to
200whp+ motor.
edit: if "none of the above" is your choice, please use reply and state what you use. thanks.

why didn't you go with 10w30 oil? same weight oil when it's warm...
5w30 has more mumbo jumbo (which makes the oil break down faster) in it to make it pourable in like below 0 temperatures..something we will never experience in southern california..or anywhere in california.
you will not make a sacrifice in performance, only a gain in longevity of the oil/resistance to breakdown.
yes the cap says the factory recommends 5w30..but look at the helms manual.
it recommends 10w30 for places which have temps above 0 degrees lol. man i don't ever think it's dropped below 50 in the whole time i lived in cali.

I use Torco SR-1 5w-30. You would be suprised about the volume of high powered all motor racers that use torco...Church automotive has seen the dyno results himself!
It would be wise to add Torco to your poll.

Transmission oil?!!!
Talk to me... I've haven't heard that one before, and my first thoughts (assuming it's not just a tongue in cheek response) is that the additives for a tranny wouldn't necessarily help in the block environment, with blowby, carbon, etc.
I'd love to hear your list ("whys" you like it) -- if you're really serious.
Thanks,
Mark
