I'm pretty sure the upgraded rod bolts are close to the price of eagle rods themselves. I know if I was going to spend $500 + on rods/bolts..I would get a set of rods better then eagle.

rod bolts arent $300 man

they are like $60-$80 on top of the ~$350 rods

and the only part that fails on them are the bolts b/c of improper torque specs

but I agree with you, you could get a nice set of pauter or carillo etc for ~$600-700 which is money well spent

Custom Age 625 bolts by ARP. They are only necessary for EXTREME applications though.

The shelf Eagle rods comes with ARP 2000 bolts, rated at 28 ft/lb.

The upgraded bolts for Eagle rods are Custom Age 625, they usually go for $ 100 for a set and rated at 45 ft/lb. YOu also need to resize the rods to accept higher torque rating, it's still a 5/16" bolts

naw, you have to get the rods machined to match the bolts

Eagle does offer their H-beam rods with the ARP 625 rods, at a higher price of course.

Here is a rod called Peak Performance. It looks exactly like Eagle but comes with a 3/8" rod bolt rather than a 5/16". I am considering selling them at $350 per set but have no experience with them. They do look good.

It is stronger than the Eagle in the pin area also.

D..B..H rods available

Larger rod bolt

Just because they LOOK beefier, doesn't mean the metal is as high of quality...

very true..you never know with new products. That is why I'm unsure on these rods. I know the bolts are better and the pin bushing is better but no history with them.

Eagle rods are awesome...and the 625's just make them THAT much better.

and put them side by side with Carrillo's...you won't see a difference
