Default WRX Vs. ITR from a roll?

I know this has probably been asked before but I couldn't find it in search. Up here in Auburn a couple of kids have new WRX's. I have seen them on the road a few times and they keep giving me that "my car is bad " look whenever I give them a nod for having a nice car. I have heard you guys mention that from cruising speed of around 70mph or so they are pretty easy to take. What about from 20mph or so? I would really like to toast'em good and hurt their feelings if it becomes nessecary. Gotta keep the punks in place.

You should be able to take a WRX out from a roll. My cuz has one and it is pretty slow. It has alot of low end, but no top end at all.

as long as launching isnt a factor, you should be fine.

No, don't race him in the rain. Some Celica GTS 6 speed with an N1 exhaust made that mistake with me. I left him by 6-8 car lengths by 40 MPH. From a roll on dry no problem. We have midrange power but absolutely no top end.

Doesn't the wrx run like 90-93 in the 1/4 stock? If so,you should have no trouble with it up high.

I've toasted a couple REX's. No prob. But they were stock. one my my Sol (no challenge at all) and two in my R. Guess the aftermarket is still in it's infancy stages for that car.

Well I'm talking with a dealership here and there planning to maybe get variable cams sold only in Japan WRX's which makes the top end soar plus 227 bhp becomes 250bhp...as which the WRX should have came to the USA with.

Actually you can boost the WRX's power up to around 280bhp with cams, ECU and intake and exhaust easy. Most people having had much time to play witht he car because most them tend to do wheels and cosmetic items first. In the US market there is not much out there but overseas there is alot. Two mods from prodrive a ECU remapped, intake change, and free flowing exhaust gave the WRX 250bhp
over seas. It takes very little to get 300bhp out of the WRX.

Word as it the new STX pickup with have the 6 pot engine in it with SC making 250bhp and 262lbs of tq. I wonder what this baby will do. I've been planning to buy it ever since I saw it at show...just because I want something different and I need a pickup to haul items.

I'm wondering if it will be std 5 speed or auto with sycro shift. Because in Japan the new Autos in there suv brands can be had with 7 speed sycro shift trans. The only model it's not in in the suv series is the Forester but probably will next yr when they plan for a make over. That trans is likely to make it into the WRX if where lucky..it's alot fasters then normally shifting only takes less then 3 mill sec to change to gear to gear. So it's instant engage feeling. The technology if from the WRC rally races if your wondering where it came from. As with the new eletronic shock stablizers and yaw control. But I don't know if we will ever see that here atleast for sometime to come.

He he. Yep I did some highway running yesterday and was surprised to keep up with an SC Civic. I got rid of the first cat and that did wonders for the car. Two down, one to go. PE1818F ball bearing monster turbo is due to arrive mid September and I'm waiting on the Blitz front mount intercooler kit and Autronic ECU rom board upgrade. I should be over 350 hp by next spring. 12 seconds here I come.

M2 has a kit that claims you will run a 13.1.It is a fair $12k.It is made to look even more rediculous when on the same web page they sell a set-up for the third gen rx-7 that for $3,500. makes it 320rwhp.A close friend with a third gen rx-7 making 332rwhp ran a 12.0@116.Hmmm....I wonder which is the better deal?

good choice with autronic bro, it is definately closest ECU to MOTEC, we know the guy who actually make them, heehee, u will be surprise how sick *** the ECU by judging it from the guys house

anyway, i think u dont need 350HP to run 12sec. Ppl run high 12 in Aussie with only about 280-300 hp. Get the Y piece for STi model, that is if you run top mount.
