fuel guage acting wierd

Default fuel guage acting wierd

hi, i have a 98 civic d16y8, for some reason when i step on the gas hard, my fuel guage needle drops, i can even see it move, but when i let the car run at a constant speed, the needle would goes back up to where it was dropped from.

is this normal?

not sure about the hard gas pushing. but my needle drops when i take sharp turns. especially right hand turns.

It's normal. This happens to me and many other Civic owners. Mine is especially bad when the needle reads about 1/2 a tank. Then it moves upon acceleration, during turns, or going up/down hills (for obvious reasons). But otherwise, it's normal and reads as it should.

yes this is normal and i hate it. It happens to almost every civic owner i know, its a bitch at times when ur not paying attention and look to see that u have no gas, when its really all there.
