I run the afc hack on my d16z6, maxrev turbo etc...

After driving 700 miles perfectly fine, im now getting this weird clicking sound in up to 4k and part throttle. Sounds like a metal hitting metal sound. (not like bb's in a coffe can though)

So I manually retard the timing today, doesnt do a thing. I dont know if it is detonation? Can anyone give me some help.

 

does it do it under load as well? spun bearing? bad cv joint? bad water/oil pump? a little more info may help. can you get it to do it while sitting in neutral and reving?

 

It seems to fade away once I'm into boost. Also, when I first hit the gas in neutral it will do it.
