Default turbo size for my setup.

hey guys i'm currently running a t3 off of a thunderbird, drag mani/downpipe. tail wastegate, turboxs bov, 2.5 inch exhaust, 440 dsms and an safc on my 95 ls. my turbo is too small and is in need of a rebuild. i'm going to be upgrading. its a daily driven street car. i'm looking for for 250whp. i was thinking about upgradeing to this turbo
t3/t04e
.57T GARRET COMPRESSOR WHEEL
.50 A/R COMPRESSOR
.63 A/R TURBINE

what do you guys think

That would work for ya but I would say if your only looking for 250 than you should go with a faster spooling 50 trim with those housings on it.

how much will faster should a 50 trim spool. one thing i hated about my t3 is the fact that i was almost always in boost. i wanted a bigger turbo because of more power, and more turbo lag. it may sound stupied but i don't need to boost all the time. its daily driven and i need traction/reliability.

ttt for the sunday people
if i was not clear in the last post, what i want to know is if that turbo will give me a reasonable spool time. i don't need to boost every time i give it gas, but i still want it to be there if i want/need it. i know that nobody can precisly predict a spool time, but is this turbo way to big. thanks

That turbo should be exactly what you want. Probably won't see boost until around 3k or so. My friend has a stock LS with just 9:1 pistons and rods, he just put down 280whp at 13psi with that same charger. good luck

I'd look into either a Precision Sc34 or a Sc50 ......
