i know that by removing the tar, the sound levels inside will increase.

i was also told that by removing the tar, it could cause corrosion. is this true? if so, how can i prevent it?

 

Clean, sand, primer, paint.

Since it's on the inside of your car, I'd say 800 grit would be fine. it may take longer, but you should be able to just shoot paint over top of it and wetsand it smooth.

unless when you took the tar off you used an ice pick then yeah if there is bare metal there it will rust eventually...

but under the tar there is primer from the factory. when i removed my tar i used a vinyl sqeegie, not to hard and not to soft, so it didnt ruin the primer under the tar

 

i got it from my shop, we use it for stickers....

umm i think you can get one at a sign shop they are only like $3 ask them if you can buy one
