ls/vtec or poor mans type r?
hey i was wonder, what do u guys think....a mildly built ls/v with ITR pistons(jdm) eagle forged rods.....with a b16a2 head.or a poormans's R with b18c1 block with ctr pistons&rods....with a b16 hea with ITR cams?...which one would be more reliable? and which one would have more power?
the only reason why i went ls/vtec is because at that time i didnt have enough money for a b18c1 block.. when my b16 blew i wanted to put togother something fast and i had a b18a block laying in my garage and said what the hell.. ls/vtec is great if built right, and makes a little more power than the poor mans type r but with a b18c1 block you would be worry free in terms of how high to rev safley (reliablity) if you have a b18c1, i say go with that
