i'm talking about the crank and cam oil seals. Assuming I got everything ie timing belt out already, will it be tricky to change them?

matix, u got to be bsing. That's pretty quick. My dealer said it would take 10 hours.

When you do them everyday they can be done in less than an hour.

Im not bsing your dealer is. The first time i did it it took 4 hours. And that was when i noticed the leak but didnt have the seal. So I got the seal and did it again a week later. After you do it once you dont run into the problems you do the first time and its a cakewalk.

I didnt buy the balancer shaft seal. And when i opened it up that was were the leak was and they had to order the seal. So i had to do it again when i received the seal. and no seals are easy to put in just use a giant socket

dealers always bs. they told me 4-5 hours to replace some shocks, it ended up taking me about 2 hours with some major complications (one of the threads on the struts was fuxed and i had to repair it).

changing the seals and timing belt shouldnt be too hard if you know what you're doing, pick up a helms manual, maybe even a haynes if you dont wanna spend that much, and you'll have a pretty good reference while you do it.

4-5 hours maybe because of waiting time and double checking and other customers, dealerships want to do a good job.....but year, takes about 2 hours to replace shocks and springs/coilovers...

i dont mean 5 hours like..."yah, well have it back to you in 5 hours", 5 hours as in:

them: it'll cost about $400 to replace them
me: wtf?
them: yah, 5 hour job, $80 per hour.
