those things are a bitch! i had my dad come try and get mine off, broke a snap on o2 tool, whatever the crap they are called, and it didnt even budge, broke my o2 sensor though! so i still need to get it off when i get my new one, i think im gonna take the heat shield off #1 (that will make it easy to get a grip one) and soak it down in penetrating oil.. hopefully that helps losen the sucker! let me know how yours works out, i will do the same

I removed the cover but havent tried any oil yet. I cut my wrist open on something and now I'm bleeding so I'm calling it a day. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Maybe I got lucky but yeah like the others, a 22 mm open ended got it off with no problems. Try harder....

If an O2 sensor socket stripped it, you used the wrong one. The one I have has taken off many o2 sensors without a problem.

Hell my secondary was so stuck I ended up cutting the end off and using a box end wrench to pull it out!

Lol I remember trying to get it off of someones car, we cut out a little square in the exhaust becacue we could not for the life of us remove that damned thing, then we simply welded the square tot he new exhaust.
