O2 sensor bypass
I'm trying to remove my secondary O2 sensor. I added an O2sim product to the existing O2 sensor then I rewired the heater/sensor side of the O2 sensor with a 20 ohm and 40 ohm resister (seperately). I'm still getting a 63, which I believe is for the high/low heater signal. Does anyone know how to bypass the secondary O2 sensor? I'm hoping someone with an R can tell me how they did it. The instructions on removing the O2 sensor on Civic Si isn't working on the integra. Maybe the signal for the heater is different.

-remove 02 sensor from cat
-keep the wires plugged in
-wrap the sensor in tin foil
-zip tie the sensor wrapped in foil to the non-moving portion of the shift linkage
DONE....no codes.....no buying ****.....no rewiring ****......NADA

Don't forget to plug up the o2 bung you took the sensor out of.

I've made several o2 sensor foolers and they work great - no codes.
I know some people get the code to come back after wrapping the sensor with foil, but I've never had a problem with the sensor dangling in the test pipe or in the cabin - using the fooler of course.

i have tired this and it worked for about a week. then the light stayed on the whole time after.. and it was from O2 sensor.

ken, this does not always work. for me, once i drive the car a little bit hard the codes pop back up. i have tried single, double, triple wrapping the o2, but all to no avail. what are these so called "foolers" that you are all talkign about? share the wealth...

Anyway, I make these plug and play o2 sensor foolers. You can leave the 2ndary o2 in the test pipe exhaust stream, or put it in the cabin. The 2ndary o2 plugs into the fooler, then the fooler plugs in where the o2 used to in the car's harness. No codes, no nothing. **** that CEL.
I'm going to make another batch of the foolers in the next couple of weeks, so if any of my itr brethren want one, just post up here. I usually just make them for local guys (@ $25ea), but suppose I can ship. I charge just for labor + materials and these are plug and play on any obd2 honda's.
Lifetime warranty - meaning if it don't work simply send it back to me and I'll send you another one.
Budman PM'd me and needed one. And someone else on http://www.importlounge.com wanted one, and I let someone else borrow my spare for troubleshooting, so I'll make a few more of my plug and play foolers if anybody needs one.
These WILL NOT HELP IF YOUR 2ndary o2 sensor is bad or malfunctioning. You must have a good working 2ndary o2 sensor as these only fool the signal. If the signal is already bad - they won't work. This method with the aluminum foil lasted for about 18 miles then the CEL came back on. Twice with two different O2 sensors. Any other suggestions?

The tip of the secondary is in the flow of the exhaust and you need to move the tip out of the flow, slightly.
Go to e-bay and search for "angled O2 adapter". The angled adapter will provide the needed room, to reinstall the sensor.
The cheap ones will rust and the expensive ones will not.
1. Unplug the cable and remove secondary O2 sensor (don't touch the end).
You'll probably need to take to cat off of the car, in order to get the leverage needed, to get the sensor out, if you don't have a lift.
2. Install the angled O2 adapter
3. Install the O2 sensor
4. Reconnect the sensor's cable.
Go to e-bay and search for "angled O2 adapter". The angled adapter will provide the needed room, to reinstall the sensor.
The cheap ones will rust and the expensive ones will not.
