Electical Help Please!! No continuity on Blue and White wires in Distributor
I'm trying to test the ignitor on my 92 hatch. The car refuses to start at all. It just cranks. Chiltons (can't afford helms right now) says there should be continuity between the blue wire and body ground and same for the white wire. Neither have continuity. I can trace them both to the back of the cluster so there is no break in the wires that far. I don't know where to go from there. The car originally had the symptoms of a main relay only the fuel pump does kick on. It would not start in warm conditions. Now it won't start at all. Everything else in the distributor seems to check out fine.
I'm about 1/2 hour away from pushing this thing in the front yard and putting a $1500 for sale sign on it. At this stage in the game, this will be the last 92 Civic I ever own. Please help a frustrated and busy old man out.
*** Edit *** I replaced the ignitor and that did not help at all.

$1500.00, eh? I'm going to go ahead and say that your distributor is horrifically ruined and I'll be by in an hour to purchase your car
.
No, seriously, it sounds like your coil took a ****. My 93 EH3 did the same thing and I had to replace the coil with an MSD Blaster (it was much cheaper than a stock replacement). Started right up
.
But also, if you're wanting to sell your ride, my dad is looking for one with a straight body...we live in Powell, Ohio. My brother and I go to the College of Wooster.
