h22 swap
Hey everyone, im knew to the forum, Just picked up a 93 Accord 4 door, hoping to make it somewhat quick but keep it a sleeper. Anyone know how complicated or how easy it is to swap in an H22A, the car is 5 speed and i was wondering if i need new mounts, im sure i will need a new wiring harness and possibly shift linkage but im not sure on anything else, any help would be great. thanks
u dont need the linkage, stock will work fine, the stock accord mounts work except for the driver side, u need the prelude mount for that, most h22 swaps come with the harness so just use the prelude one even if the accord one works, i'm getting my h22 put into my 93 accord 4 door in a week, its gonna be a loooong week for me

Being that you HAVE a 93 you need to do a lil more research man. All of your stock mounts work, there is no need to use the drivers side lude mount as it is in the 5 gen.'s

All of your stock mounts work, but if they need replacing, now is a good time to do it. You wont need a new wiring harness, you just have to modify the existing one a lil bit extending/adding a few wires (use the search button) depending on whether or not your car is an ex or lx, you will have to add vtec as part of the wiring... the exhaust bolts right up as well, as far as the shift linkage is concerned im not too sure... give steve a call over at http://www.hmotorsonline.com and he will be able to tell you exactly what you need. Good luck
