Stupid axels!!
well i just got home from the track but unfortunatly my car didnt make it back with me... I had some DSS stage 2 axles installed (ment for 400+ hp) and well the passengers side snapped by the hub. and this happend just weeks after i broke a factory axle (it broke inside of the diff) causing major down time waiting for parts. anyone have a clue why a 400+ hp axle would break when I'm only putting down 280 hp?

My friend broke stage 1's (inner joint) on the first launch on dry pavement with street tires. He sent them to DSS, they stated they were heat-treated too much....to the point that they were brittle. He got it back and now he is getting real bad vibrations, so he's selling them......

its dropped about 3/4" to 1".... if you want the whole story here it is.... the factory axle has been in for the last 2 years. I have been running the turbo kit and slicks for that time.. the CV went bad so had it replaced. The shop used a Napa axle and snapped the day I got the car back.. car was down about a month because i had to get the diff fixed and the DSS sent me an integra axle at first and it wouldn't stay in the tranny (splines 1/8" too short) so they sent me the right one and 3 days later it broke.

i am about 400 to the wheels on factory prelude axles. i have been using the same set for two years with no problems. i would say it was a defective axle.

I broke 2 oem axles when i went turbo, than when putting in the 3rd i replaced a broken mount and got inserts for my three lower mounts. No more engine shake and no more broken axles.
