can ayone help me with a good idea on how to ship an r from alalbama to oregon?
The only ways to do it is pay someone to drive your car which I wouldn't really recommend.
The other way is to put your car on an auto transporter, you know those funky lookin trailers with all the cars on it, yea it costs like 7-800 bucks to do it. I think it takes them about a week to ten days to get it out there.

thanks for the help guys just trying to decide what to do thats a lot of miles from there to oregon. think its worth it? how many miles do think that is?
Yeah they shipped my Land Cruiser when I moved to Kansas and they shipped it To Utah when I moved back here. It is enclosed trailering and they handle thing's ALOT more exotic than a Type-R or an old 4X4.
Dunno how bad they are in the US (shipping companies). I used a company called SeaRail : http://www.searail.ca.
I am quite sure they ship within the US. Costs are between $500-$1200. I paid about 600USD to ship it from Toronto to the WEST coast.
I also thought their service was great, only 1KM on my car was added. They pick up on a FlatBed and Deliver on a FlatBed TO YOUR DOORSTEP. Plus, they are extremely careful, and the car is put on a rail-type track when shipping.
Hope that helps.

It wouldnt download? I just found out it is 2600 miles and 42 driving hours at least thats what my little program said on my computer. It might be best to ship?
I got my R from Maryland and I had the owner drive it to me and then I paid for his plane ticket back. It worked out for me and for him...he made a weekend out of it and I got it shipped for the price of a plane ticket. and I dought someone who has an R in the first place is going to mess up their property before they sell it.
