Default Clutch Master Cylinder help needed

Will a 1997 Integra Type-R clutch master cylinder work on a 1993 Civic Si HB? I think my clutch master cylinder is going out on my car. I already have the engine, and transmission from a 1997 Type-R in my Civic Si HB. I called the local Honda parts store and they quoted me $139.54 for a new Civic clutch master cylinder. I called the local Acura parts dealer and they quoted me $113.81 for a new Type-R clutch master cylinder. Obviously I want to go for the less expensive one but I wanted to make sure that it would bolt up to the Civic firewall and work with the Civic clutch pedal.

I was also wondering if anyone could recommend some good online sites to buy new Honda/Acura parts at a good price?

Best Regards,
John

My Civic Si does not have ABS.

Would not having ABS prevent me from using the Type-R clutch master cylinder? It is my clutch system not my brake system that is messed up. Both the Civic and Type-R have hydraulic clutches that use hydraulic pressure to release the clutch. I think my Civic clutch master cylinder is leaking. The leak is causing low pressure in the hydraulic line which prevents me from disengaging the clutch.

I don't think that he read your post. They are mostly all the same.

When I got a Teg MC and brake booster for my CRX, I had to use one from a Teg with no ABS to make it work in my car. Therefore, if your car has ABS then you need a MC and BB from a car that has ABS, if your car does not have ABS then you need one from a non-ABS car.
