Do you guys think that the F20C engine is related to the F20B engines ?
mmm..usually honda uses samestarting letter for related stuff..
now i know that the F20B were 2.0l used in accord SIR and SIR-T
do you think that this engine and the S2k are somehoda related ?
i wonder
cause i could use S2k cams and computer parts with a F20B2 engine
eheh
mmm though the S2k rotates CW nah ? that could inder difference in tmiing setup and other stuff ..****
eheh
but still..could it be related somewhere ?

Hrm, well logically they would be related in some way but from the pics I've seen they look like two totally different things.
I'm pretty sure the F20C was Honda's first engine to rotate clockwise. Maybe the B's were same block but counterclockwise rotation.
Isn't F20C almost same as K20A (is this the code for RSX-S)? I know the intake/throttle body is located in opposite sides in these two motors.

First came the H22A. Then came the F20B. The F20B is based on the H22A, but it has a smaller bore, and a shorter stroke. The block on the outside is the same an an H22A. Basically, the F20B is a destroked H22A. The F20C (from the S2000) is based on the F20B. However, you cannot interchange the parts because they rotate differently.

The procession of the F-Series as it pertains to the F20C1 is as such:
F22A1->F22A4->F22A6->F22B1+F22B->F20B->F20C1->K20A2
However, the parts do not interchange.

The F20C has nothing in common block wise with any other "F" honda engine. The F20C is a three piece block. The upper part is the sleeves and water jackets. The middle is the crank girdle and the bottom is the oil pan. Imagine 3 pieces all bolted together. They designed the crank girdle to be integrated into the block to prevent crankwalk. This is what enables the car to rev to 9000rpm with reliability.
