question about cams in my b16a2
are the b18c1,c5,b16a2 ex. cams the same? i heard somewhere that they are and by adding the ctr intake cam will help out a lot is this true??
thanks
thanks
Nope, they are not the same. The C5 has way mor agressive cams. However, he B16 and GSR cams are the same.
The only reason CTR cams is a better upgrade than the ITR intake cam is because it has 2° more duration than the ITR intake cam.

he is saying that you can't put DOHC cams in a SOHC motor. Its like trying to put V6 headers on an I4, they just don't match up

he said ex as in exhaust. And are the b16a cams and b18c cams really the same? I didn't think they were cause most people with b16a say to use b18c cams for boost.

Yep, they are the same. The first gen B16 is not the same at all (they have shorter lift/duration).
As for the B16A2 and 2nd Gen B16 (B16A3). The exhaust cam is exactly the same, however the intake cam, the B16 has a little bit more duration and I believe 1 or 2 mm more lift -- not much though.
