what oil filter do you guys recommend? also do the oem honda oil filters already have oil in them so you don't need to fill the filter halfway?

OEM of course. Or HAMP for the bling blang! No they don't have oil in them. Oil the threads and fill it half way.

North Texas Prelude Owner's Group did a dissection of many leading Oil Filters. They rated construction, filter element quality, number of pleats, inlet and outlet port volume, etc.

I've always used Bosch, and it turns out Bosch and STP (I think) are the same, both were top-notch from the review.

Ive heard good things about Purolator ( the premium ones with a sparkle blue finish)

I myself, use OEM Honda or NAPA GOLD series filters.

ive heard really high praises for the napa gold at school when i took auto classes...i stick with oem though, cuz i get them for free...and theyve also changed the size on oem honda filters, they are as small as the ones on the 01+ civics.

use the oem made in america, the filtech ones. they have metal endcaps and overall they have a better build quality than the cheapss fram crap(oem made in canada).

Because they are too expensive and overkill.

They are the exact same as the Bosch/STP filter, very good filters, except the Mobil 1 has some sort of coating on the filter element to filter better. They are just as good or better than the Bosch/STP but far more expensive.

Which is a good one if you dont want to spend big bucks. Also, how did the other filters do in the disection of the array of differnt filters. Which were the other top perofrmers. The Bosch ones seem expensive.
