car wont start, need help
ok once again the gremelins are back, the engine turns over but dosent want to start. this has happened twice. the first time was right after tech at the last auto-x, and today I tried for about five minutes, on and off, I checked the wires and the battery terminals and still nothing. I went inside for a couple of minutes, come back out and still nothing, I turn the fan on and it starts, the cap and rotor are new. wires are about three years old, the engine has 150,000. is it time for a new starter? plugs are new, uhhh, damn hopefully some one can help

If you motor is turning over, then you don't need a starter and your battery connections are fine
See if it has a spark first.. If not, there is an ignitor inside your distributer that may have burnt out.. Mine has twice on my car with 133k on it..

4th gens have a common problem with the main relay. If it's warm/hot, the car won't start. it costs $50 for the relay, and you can replace it yourself underneath the driver's dash
my 90 ex has the same problem- occasionally won't start. Only does it when it's hot outside. It'll turn over just fine...keep trying...wait a couple min...try again, won't start...wait a couple min, try again, etc.- eventually it'll start right up just like normal. Already replaced the ecm relay- didn't correct it. I took it to a shop, and they are trying to find the problem. I'll repost when they find something.
