L/S Vtec or B18C???
I can't make up my damm mind man I have a L/S Vtec right now with a 97 block and 1gen B16a head.... and I'm not to impressed with it I don't know what the HP is but I did a 14.0 in a CRX so I think I should do better as I'm pretty good at drag racing, anyway I was thinking of ditching this motor and do a ITR with CTR pistons .25 oversized. But maybe the money I spend on that I could do performance rods and pistons on my L/S Vtec. I have a ITR head that's going to be P/P cams all the stuff. I want to run pretty high compression, and I'm woried the L/S Vtec won't be able to rev with the cams I'm getting. This set-up is going to be some street weekends only and alot of drag racing so I want it to be reliable. I just want to hear some of your imputs on this problem. TIA Rob
Go make a baseline run, see what the numbers are and come back and tell us along with A/F curve which is important, what you have done to the motor and your bolt-ons. Throwing any codes? Any problems of stumbling, bogging etc...?
No codes, I have a locash chipped ECU, ITR intake manifold, B&M FPR, MSD 6Al, JDM ITR DC header, cam gears which I needed cause the heads been shaved .3thou, ACT prolite flywheel, Hi-6 clutch, 00 Si cams. That's about it in a 90 CRX Si full interior. I think maybe my lifters are bad cause the valves sound like there sticking that why I bought the ITR head. any thing else you need? Thanks again Rob
