u need to have many many many layers of that ****. 1/4-1/2" r u gonna be using anything to help reinforce other than just fiberglass? duraglass is great to help reinforce. if u cant ur hands on any, u can make it urself. its basically just fiberglass cut into really small pieces and mixed into resin.

The way I've built all of the fiberglass boxes that I have built is pretty easy and doesn't use a LOT of glass.

Build your outer structure and then run to a fabric store and buy some fleece. Same **** used in sweaters, etc. Stretch and staple that over and coat that with about 4 layers of resin. Once that is dry, from the inside put down 4 layers of fiberglass, alternating between the kitty hair and the weave. Put down a layer of kitty hair, resin it, before it dries put down a layer of the weave, resin, back to kitty hair, and then back to the weave. Make sure it is completely soaked thru the glass and then let dry.

Once finished sand the outside to the finish you need if it's not being vinyl'd, and then paint.
