Default Mom's driving R's ??????

Alright well today I thought I almost lost my mind. First I am coming home from school and I see a mid 50's caucasian lady driving a CW R with no wing. I thought it was pretty weird, but went on my way.

I get closer to home and I see a mid 50's chinese lady driving a lowered CW......WTF???

The last time I saw this there was a mid 30's caucasian lady driving a black R.

My question is who the hell would let their Mom drive their R??

I know for sure I wouldn't even let my mom go near it. My dad....maybe, but my mom?

Gosh you guys must have *****, or not care about your cars. I can just imagine my mom trying to drive it and accidentally peeling it out, over-revving, etc.

I don't know how you guys do it.

I let mine drive it once or twice. She's driven stick her entire life, I wasn't overly concerned. It is still only an Integra. Now post modifications, that might be a different story .

That's what I'm saying though. With a modified R I can't see anyone's mom going down the street without getting revved on, or messed with.

I know what you mean, but I meant because of increased compression, lightened flywheel, different gearing, etc. You can't tell I'm modified from appearance, unless you can spot the difference between a stock and SMS exhaust tip that is.

I've let my mom drive my itr before... Bastard ran a better quarter mile than me...
You have to consider this... My mom is now 49yrs young and she's raced cars before. She owns an S2000, 04 clk55 and 02 s55...She's the one that taught my brother, sister and me how to drive stick back home.

I have no worries on my mom driving my car. Ran me on the S2000 and certainly got my *** handed to my by my own mom that's for sure.

There is this lady in tampa though that is about 50 or so and she drives a fbp itr. Kind of funny seeing her drive it but never had the chance to see what she can do to that car

I guess you just had to be there for the second lady. I'm not talking about a hip mom here that can dust people. She looked frail and dainty. Drove extremely too close for a steering wheel with an airbag. The car jerked as she shifted. I could not help but stare and wonder.

ArghhHHhh......some mom has a CW and I got friggin black!!!

I know old people can drive R's....they are not that much different than other cars. But I really don't know anyone that old that would choose to drive a car that is as non-luxurious as an R.

When my mom sits in it, all she does is complain and hold on to the oh **** bar.

It's just different to see an old chinese lady driving an R, when normally I see old Chinese ladies driving benz's and bmw's around here.

I don't think George is 50+ yet. I think he's 48, but I could be wrong!

While I was up at Auburn I left the R at home for a while. One day I got a call from the parents and heard the strangely familiar sound of VTEC engaging. Apparently they had decided to take it for a spin and my step dad had instantly re-discovered his teenage years at the 5,700rpm point. My mom was telling me how much fun he was having. I could tell he wasn't taking it up all the way and I said if he was going to do it that he should do it right and rip it to redline.

The first time my mom ever drove my car she blasted it straight to 120mph.

Soon after one of my speeding tickets my mom drove the R to work. On the way home she was pulled over for doing over 100mph. Her excuse to me "I was just passing somebody and I didn't know I was going that fast" , good one mom, try again.

In general though my mom hated driving the car on long trips (work for her is 60mi away).

here's the big question: i bet when you guys have kids you'll be driving the R still or even if they buy an R you will be driving it. So anticiapting the future, I'll say its alright for OLDER people to drive R's...

heheh just covering my ***!!!

both my parents have driven my R.

my mom is a very safe driver.

as for my dad, there is no doubt that he is more qualified to drive that car than i am. to dads that can drive the wheels off ANY car.
