Default Wheel rub on stock height

I am experiencing wheel rub when making right turns and hitting large bumps. I have weapon r coil-overs set to stock height with koni yellows. I have gsr rims. I didn't think that those rims should rub at all.

Do you guys think that it is the weight of the engine that causes the rubbing? I looked under the driver-side fender and saw that the wheel is rubbing on a lip to the top of the firewall. Fender rolling will not help because it is not rubbing at that part.

Anyone have any ideas.

I also have another problem, while accelerating in 5th gear I hear and feel a shudder. It's hard to explain but it shudders in a pattern like 4 times per second, slower with slower speeds and faster with faster speeds. It starts at about 65mph in 5th gear only. Could this be an axle problem?

are you tires balanced?

is there anything hanging like the inner fender protectors and whatnot it might be dislodged in the back and rubbing the wheel like right behind the shock tower so check those.

Get your alignment checked. Maybe something's bent. That's a strange problem.

I am pretty sure that the alignment is off. I don't think that will cause the wheel to hit the top lip area of the firewall though. It's only on the driverside and the passenger side is perfect.

Is the body rolling alot when you turn that way? Maybe your shock is blown.

You know, you may be right. The car was slammed and the problem was barley noticable. I tried messing with the firmness of the shock and then the problem started. I had to raise it back to stock height to somewhat calm the problem.
