I painted them as well, but they turned out shitty. Do you guys think it would look better with centercaps? Also thanks for the compliments

Sure, dupli color wheel paint. Graphite gray. Used engine degreaser and sanded with 400grit. Looks great in person IMO thanks for the kind words. BTW, total cost was about 15bucks and one day spent doing it.

did you just sand the old paint or strip it all off? It took me the best part of three days to do mine..i'll see if i can get round to posting a pic, they look much better with centre caps...but then again mine are black and it might not look so good with gunmetal..

Rims look really good, not "alright". IMO they look better than the factory alloy, just something different. Color looks good on a black car. Looks like u just have to put over your hub area/lugnuts. Otherwise, looks great.
BTW, no center caps looks better i think.

Re: (sick hatchem)
Just a little more tech: If you sand the wheels down, try using a metal-etching primer and then paint. It will add that much more adhesion.

that looks pimp man, nice job. i was looking at doing the same thing to my wheels. One question though(might be a stupid one) did you have to remove the tires or were you able to piant with them on? Again nice job, looks great.

Re: (jdm93sol)
You wouldn't have to remove the tires for that......just tape them up, or put newspaper or something around them and tape it. I would do it around the fender wells too, to prevent any overspray.

I used Index cards and wedged them in-between the tire and the rimm, there is a tiny space that the cards will slide into it. Worked great, no overspray on tires. And I suggest taking the wheels off to do it.
