Default o2 sensor question

I just change my ATF then I notice the connector between O2 sensor wire and the
o2 sensor( the one at the end of the header and b4 the cat) is burned due to the
header ( I installed the DC sport header like a month ago).
The connector is made of plastic so it melted since it's touching the header
( to the shop that install the header) but the wire is fine
My CEL is not light up , question is : is it ok leaving the connector like that ?
and what happen usually if the O2 sensor at the header not working ?
Thx for the answer

Default Re: o2 sensor question (ddua)

Depending on how badly melted the connector is I would replace it. At lease I would zip tie it out of the way. You could go to a junkyard splice in a new connector or you could just hard wire the o2 sensor around the melted connector. But I would only do that if the connector was badly destroyed.
